Less than a month after the pre-sale start and the first wave of bands we can already present you the second wave of bands with many newcomers to FMH but also a band with veteran status. Everything is included from long-established metal legends to aspiring newcomers!
With this year's release of "Wings Of Rage", RAGE have already released their 23rd album since the band was founded in 1984. The Ruhrpott metal band around the likeable vocalist Peavy Wagner are undoubtedly among the veterans of the German heavy scene. The secret of their success is on the one hand in various gentle course corrections, which have always provided an up-to-date sound image without adaption to the zeitgeist, and on the other hand in consistently high-quality songwriting. The band celebrates its FMH debut in 2020!
Without the legendary Lemmy there is unfortunately no Motörhead anymore, but luckily guitarist PHIL CAMPBELL and his band THE BASTARD SONS rock on. for which the Welshman also used his sons Todd and Tyla. The first long groove "The Age Of Absurdity" immediately won the Metal Hammer Award in the category "Best Debut Album" in 2018. Mr. Campbell will also honor us for the first time at FMH!
Even three decades after the death of band head Phil Lynott, the works of the Irish legends THIN LIZZY are considered milestones in rock history, which METALLICA has already paid tribute to. In addition to the singer, drummer BRIAN DOWNEY was the only constant band member with the Irish. Its unique game, influenced by the traditional rhythms of his homeland, has influenced PRIMORDIALs Simon O'Laoghaire among others. The great drummer is traveling with his own band on this journey.
As a master of musical parody, FROG LEAP aka Leo Moracchioli is now purposefully heading for 4 million subscribers on his YouTube channel. Most recently, his bleached metal version of "Toss A Coin To Your Witcher" from the successful TV series "The Witcher" caused a sensation and garnered more than 2.5 million clicks. Whether pop, rock or metal - no classic and no current hit is safe from the Norwegian, who, on top of that, pulls the laughs at his side as a quick-change artist.
In recent years, THUNDERMOTHER have played tirelessly in the hearts of many fans with countless tours and performances around the world. The Swedes are among others in the tradition of GIRLSCHOOL, SUZI QUATRO, JOAN JETT and other hard rocking ladies, but miss the old school sound of the long overdue rejuvenation. After 2018, THUNDERMOTHER honor us for the second time at Full Metal Holiday!
MISTER MISERY are just at the beginning of their musical career, but the Swedish entertainers are already being celebrated as a hot insider tip. With their refreshing mixture of glam and gothic rock, which also tolerates one or the other extreme, as well as an instinctive understanding that music should entertain on stage, the foursome goes to Mallorca with the declared goal of making as many new friends as possible bring home. We can look forward to seeing whether the youngsters can keep their promises on site.
Where the blazing sun burns down on parched land, post-apocalyptic thrash is an ideal musical theme. No wonder that TOXIC ARMY from the island's capital, Palma de Mallorca, is committed to this style. The Spaniards also ensure an increased proportion of women, which we all hope will increase significantly in metal over the next few years. The local heroes are setting a good example and are already looking forward to their home game in front of an international audience.
Whoever thinks the biling has already reached the finishing line is wrong. The next band wave is planned for the beginning / middle of March and also the first supporting program will be published very soon!
